A Night to Remember: The Haitian Excellence Gala

This past Saturday, May 18, the Haitian Excellence Gala was a resounding success. As guests arrived, they were greeted by the elegance of a red carpet and the delight of a champagne wall, setting the tone for a memorable evening.

The event began with a lively cocktail hour, providing an opportunity for guests to mingle and enjoy the atmosphere. Following this, the program commenced with an astonishing performance by Jeph Haven. His energy and talent set the stage for what was to come. Emilie Jabouin then captivated the audience with a moving folkloric dance, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Haiti. Dieufaite Charles followed with a lively and outstanding performance that left everyone in awe.

One of the most poignant moments of the evening was the recitation of the poem "I Don't Look Haitian." This powerful piece moved many to tears as it touched on deep and meaningful themes, resonating with everyone present.

Throughout the night, we danced, laughed, and cried together, emphasizing the importance of celebrating and appreciating people while they are still with us. The honorees delivered beautiful speeches, sharing their stories and inspiring everyone in attendance.

The night concluded with a colorful fashion show, a fitting end to an event that was vibrant and full of life. The Haitian Excellence Gala was truly a success, and we are already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this night unforgettable. Your presence and support made all the difference. Until next year!
