We at Haitians of Toronto are beyond grateful for the incredible support we received for our Back-to-School Festival in August! The event was a tremendous success, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing community, sponsors, and volunteers. Here’s a recap of the day and all that we accomplished together.
🎒 100+ Backpacks Distributed
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we gave away over 100 backpacks packed with essential school supplies, including crayons, pens, pencils, water bottles, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The character-themed bags were a huge hit with the kids, bringing extra excitement as they prepared for the new school year!
🎉 Fun for the Whole Family
We made sure there was something for everyone! From basketball games and face painting to a bouncy castle, the kids enjoyed every minute. Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter was one of the event’s highlights.
🍽️ Delicious Haitian Food & Snacks
We were thrilled to share a taste of Haiti with our guests, serving up a variety of traditional Haitian dishes and snacks. It was a great way to bring people together while celebrating our rich cultural heritage.
